Auditability is a product behavior

Audit trails are not a report added at the end. They are produced by how the core workflow records each critical state change.

Issue, return, calibration dispatch, calibration receipt, manual validation, home relocation, and missing-tool resolution should all leave evidence.

Before and after state matters

A timestamp and actor are necessary, but incomplete. The record should show the state before the change and the state after the change.

That lets quality teams reconstruct what happened without relying on screenshots, emails, or the memory of whoever worked the counter.

Say what the system supports

Aviamatic should speak carefully: designed to support audit-ready records, calibration traceability, and aviation quality-system expectations.

It should not claim FAA, EASA, ISO, or AS9100 certification unless a formal certification process has actually occurred.
