Resources

Start the tool-control conversation with the right operating questions.

These static resources are written for aircraft maintenance leaders preparing a focused custody, calibration, and readiness pilot.

Pilot checklist

Before digitizing the store

  • List every reusable controlled tool with serial, owner, home position, and calibration requirement.
  • Separate serviceability, calibration validity, custody, location, and ownership in the operating model.
  • Identify tools that must never issue when calibration is expired.
  • Define who can issue, return, dispatch to calibration, receive from calibration, and validate imported records.
  • Capture current token-board behavior so the digital pilot improves the workflow instead of fighting it.
  • Choose pilot metrics before rollout: search time, known-holder accuracy, digital transaction rate, and expired-tool issues.
