A straight, clause-by-clause answer. Tool and equipment control spans more than a single provision, and we want the boundary of what we do — and what we deliberately do not — to be clear before you pilot.

The obligation is broader than 145.A.40(b)

Tool and equipment control runs across several Part-145 provisions: having the right tools available (145.A.40(a)), controlling and calibrating them to an officially recognised standard with records kept (145.A.40(b)), and the AMC expectations around a control register, labelling, and serviceability monitoring. Below is how each maps to what Aviamatic operationalises — and where the responsibility belongs to the authority, your MOE, or an accredited calibration lab, not to us.

We never claim certification, approval, or authority you haven't earned. Where something is “not our role,” it stays with the regulator, your organisation, or your approved data.

Aviamatic operationalises the control register, serviceability monitoring, and calibration record-keeping that Part-145 expects — and it records the calibration evidence from your ISO/IEC 17025-accredited providers. It does not calibrate, certify, write your MOE, or make airworthiness decisions. Those remain the responsibility of regulators, certifying staff, and your approved data.
